v1.7.0Feature

Plugins v1.7.0: JSON Deploy Output and Vinext on Cloudflare Vite Plugin 2.x

ze-cli can print the deploy result as JSON, Vinext apps get the right plugin from with-zephyr and deploy with the Cloudflare Vite plugin 2.x, and federated containers are described once.

Summary

ze-cli can print the deploy result as JSON, Vinext apps get the right plugin from with-zephyr and deploy with the Cloudflare Vite plugin 2.x, and federated containers are described once.

JSON Deploy Result From ze-cli

ze-cli deploy <dir> --format json prints one machine-readable line on stdout when a deploy succeeds:

{ "applicationUid": "…", "versionUrl": "https://…", "targetUrls": ["https://…"] }
  • versionUrl is the immutable URL of the deployed version, and targetUrls lists the tag and environment URLs now serving it.
  • Logs and warnings go to stderr in this mode, so scripts and coding agents can read the result without parsing log lines.
  • Text output is unchanged when you leave out the flag.

Vinext Apps on Cloudflare

  • with-zephyr now adds vite-plugin-vinext-zephyr to Vinext projects instead of the generic Vite plugin. Running it again repairs projects set up by earlier releases.
  • vite-plugin-vinext-zephyr supports the output layout of @cloudflare/vite-plugin 2.x. These builds previously failed with ZE20024. Projects on 1.x behave as before.

Smaller Improvements

  • When client and server compilers both build the same federated container, the published snapshot describes it once. Containers built only for the server keep their metadata.

What This Means for Teams

  • CI pipelines and agents get a stable contract for where a deploy went.
  • Existing Vinext + Cloudflare apps can be set up and deployed without manual changes.
